Order taking for restaurant groups

Phone and WhatsApp orders, taken correctly, into the system that dispatches them.

This is the industry where EVX has the most operational evidence. Voice agents take real customer orders in production today, integrated with the backends that register and route them.

What actually breaks

The line is busy exactly when it matters

Peak hours are when orders are worth the most and when staff is least able to answer. Every unanswered call is revenue plus a customer who learns you are hard to buy from.

The address is wrong

An address taken by ear and not validated against a real coverage map produces a delivery that leaves and comes back.

The order is right but the total is not

Modifiers, sizes and combos are where phone orders go wrong, and the customer finds out at the door.

Nobody confirms

An order announced as registered but never written into the POS is the worst failure of all, because everyone believes it worked.

What we run

  • Order capture by voiceThe agent understands the request, prices it against the live menu and registers it. Sizes, modifiers and combos included.
  • Coverage validationThe delivery address is resolved against the actual service polygons before the order is accepted — not after the driver leaves.
  • Branch hours and statusWhether a branch is open, taking delivery or pickup only, checked at the moment of the order rather than assumed.
  • Quote before commitThe total is read back and an explicit confirmation is required before anything is registered.
  • Escalation to a personAny order that needs judgment goes to a human. That path is defined and tested, not aspirational.
  • Multi-branch and multi-brandSeveral brands and several branches running on the same operating model.

The evidence

Five AI voice agents are in production across two backends, taking real customer orders for restaurant groups. Sixty-four custom actions connect them to the systems that hold the menu, the coverage map, the branch status and the order itself. Coverage is validated against the official service polygons, with a control suite that has to pass before any change ships.

We do not publish client names, order volumes or performance figures. When a client authorises it in writing, we will.
